Notes:

 1. Race organized by American Automobile Association (A.A.A.). The A.A.A. ignored the
international formula, and set up its own upper weight limit of 1,200 kg. European clubs
protested, but to no avail – so they boycotted the race (The Chequered Flag – Ivan Rendall.)
 2. Again the race was stopped because the crowds invaded the course. However third and fourth
managed to get to the finish and were credited an unofficial time at the finish. The other
    running cars were flagged.
