Notes
1 – Ricciardo, Hülkenberg and Sainz Jr. all received a five-place
grid penalty for exceeding their quota for power unit components.
Sainz Jr. also received an additional 10-place grid penalty for
exceeding his quota for power unit components.
2 – Stroll, Albon, Giovinazzi and Kvyat are required to start from
the back of the grid for exceeding their quota for power unit
components. Kvyat and Giovinazzi also both received an additional
five-place grid penalty for an unscheduled gearbox change.
3 – Kubica failed to set a Q1 time within the 107% requirement.
He raced at the stewards' discretion. He also received a five-place
grid penalty for an unscheduled gearbox change and started the race
from the pit lane for changed power unit components and rear wing
under parc fermé conditions.
4 – Norris and Giovinazzi were classified as they completed more than
90% of the race distance.
